We are Vision Groundworks Limited, a civil engineering and construction contractor. This Privacy Policy applies to Vision Groundworks Limited
(Company No. 8236199.  Registered address: The Landscape Centre, Lampard Lane, Churt, Farnham, Surrey, GU10 2HJ).

How do we collect information from you?

You may give us information about you by filling in forms on our website (www.visiongroundworks.co.uk) or by corresponding with us in person, by phone, email or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you:

What information do we collect and how is it used?

We collect information to allow us to fulfil our obligations to provide products and services, to keep customers informed and to respond to business enquiries.  Section 3 below, outlines exactly what information we collect, and for what purpose.

 

1. Sensitive data

We do not gather sensitive personal data about our customers (e.g. health, genetic, biometric data; racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, sexual orientation, and criminal convictions).  We expressly request that you do not provide any such sensitive data to us.

2. Third parties

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.  We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We use a number of third-party services to help us fulfil our contractual obligations and may provide personal data to third parties such as government agencies where required to do so by law.  We disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service as described in Section 3 below.  We have written agreements with any third parties who process data on our behalf and carry out audits to ensure they are GDPR compliant.

Like many other websites, our website (www.visiongroundworks.co.uk) uses cookies. Cookies are small pieces of anonymous information about a user’s activity on a website that are stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit that site.

We don't store personally identifiable information such as credit card details in cookies we create, but we do use encrypted information gathered from them to help improve your experience of the site.

Where appropriate, Vision Groundworks Limited will promptly notify you of any unauthorised access to your personal information.

  • The right, where there is a dispute in relation to the accuracy or processing of your personal data, to request a restriction is placed on further processing;

  • The right to object to the processing of personal data, (where applicable i.e. where processing is based on legitimate interests (or the performance of a task in the public interest/exercise of official authority); direct marketing and processing for the purposes of scientific/historical research and statistics).

Access to personal information

You can request to see the personal information that we hold about you and request us to amend it or erase it.  Please address an email to ‘the data controller’ at info@visiongroundworks.co.uk To process your request, and in the interest of security, we will ask you to send us two forms of proof of identity so that we can be sure we are releasing your personal data to the right person.  We will process your request within one month or, if the request is particularly complex, two months. We can provide you with a copy of your personal data in electronic format or hard copy.  If we consider the frequency of your requests is unreasonable, we may refuse to comply with your request. In those circumstances, we would notify you of your right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
